Nuthatches and nutty lambs
What's behind the blue door?

The chickadees have long been friendly,

but this is the first year I've had nuthatches in hand.

This little white lamb is a charmer - always curious and full of beans...

..who's mama's favourite little mountain goat?

And I hate to say it, but the alpaca babe (Benedict, of course) has a funny face.

Awesome pics, Rhona! I must agree, Benedict is a little odd looking.
I've never seen a wild bird come to a human's hand - that's quite an experience.
Laurie - all it takes is a few monks with the kindness and patience to coax the birds closer. Now we get to reap the rewards - it's one of the rituals of winter for visiting writers.
Benedict is GORGEOUS!!!
